What Is The Tingling Sensation In The Penis After A TURP Surgery?

I had TURP surgery 4 days ago. I have just about stopped urinating blood but last night and tonight I am experiencing a severe tingling sensation in my penile shaft which is keeping me awake. I was given antibiotics after the operation and after the catheter was removed which finish tomorrow. Is this tingling sensation normal.

Post TURP some amount of discomfort in the penis is normal. Because a tube is passed up the penis and then surgery id done through this tube .. Cystoscope. Continue with pain relievers for a few days more, with time this should settle. However, pl have your urine checked for pus cells, a sign of infection. If so, then u need to get back to the surgeon. Also pass urine evryy 4 hrs even if u do not get the urge to pass, keeping the bladder empty will prevent infection.
