What Is The Success Rate Of Pirfenidone In Treating IPF?
A friend of mine in Florida is dx with IPF x 6 years. He has heard of this treatment of Pirfenidon availablein Canada but not in U S A. He is asking me of the success rate . Also the dose, availability etc. His younger brother has now been dx with the disease.

I am sorry for your friend and his brother.Pirfenidon is recently approved by FDA in IPF treatment but its efficacy is not so well .It is indicated only in some cases and he should discuss with his treating doctor for this.
