Thank you for asking Healthcare majic.
My name is Dr Ehsan Ullah &
I have gone through your query.

you have mentioned that you had Hvs test and later you got no growth on that ,
then same "no growth" when you had blood culture..

It simply means that you have Clear hvs test so you don't have the infections / bacteria for which your culture was performed and you are no more at risk of those

However, your Obsgyn may or may not have mentioned you about follow up visit depending upon your history and index of suspicion of any such relevant infection... in some suspicious cases, physician advise patients a follow up visit & Re-evaluation

Hsv test is mostly performed for
Candida ,
White blood cells,
epithelial cells,
yeasts,
bacterial vaginosis
and
Trichomonas vaginalis
Culture for yeasts;
culture for bacterial pathogens, if indicated by microscopy or clinical information.

where as cultures are directed for the specified bacterias.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
