What Is The Right Age For Kids To Potty Train?

I'm trying to potty train my 25 month old. She did really well about 4 months ago until she got a UTI from holding it so long. I waited and now we're trying it again. She tells me when she poops and pees but she WON'T go in the potty. She'll hold it for as long as she can and when she finally pees, it smells like fish. What am I doing wrong? How can I help her? Is she not ready?

Hi, In my opinion you may use the positive re enforcement method for her.She gets a reward for telling you when she wants to use the wash room. If she does not then she does not get the reward. Do not scold her for not telling. Also you can take her to use the wash room every two hour or just prior to her pee time. You may give her reward for using the wash room. Reward should be something relevant and important to her like chips or toffee she likes.
I hope i have answered your query
