As u have used melacare cream for years it has caused your skin thinned out and sensitive to sun. It has steroid into it which has done this permanent changes on your skin.
you have to use sunscreen with higher SPF regularly before going out in the sun and u can use cream containing kojic acid, mulberry extract , arbutin and niacinamide. This can help lightening of your skin.
