What Is The Remedy For Stopping Use Of Elocon Cream Causing Itchy, Pimple With Puss On Skin When Stopped The Cream?
Hello, well I have been using elocon cream for over 10 years now and my face is addicted to it! When I stop using the cream my face begins to itch badly and I break out with the tiny pimples that look like they have some kind of puss in them and my skin starts to peel also. What can I do to stop this? I have already stopped using this cream, how long will it take for my face to get better? How can I get my skin back to normal again? Desperately need help.

I would keep a possibility of Steroid induced Rosacea.
Elocon cream contains a potent steroid like mometasone.
It should not be used on face for very long because prolonged use can lead to steroid related side effects like:
-Acne,
-Photosensitivity,
-Skin thinning and telangiectasis,
-Facial hair growth (specially in females).
Use a gentke cleanser like cetaphil cleansing lotion for face wash since your skin is very sensitive and would easily get irritated to soaps or harsh cleansing.
If i was your treating doctor i would advice you to use a Broad Spectrum sunscreen with both UV A and UV B through out the day and a non-comedogenic moisturizer at night, till your skin recovers back to the normal state.
I would advice that you see a dermatologist who might prescribe you an oral antibiotic either Doxycycline or Azithromycin for Eruptions/Acne.
A topical antibiotic gel e.g clindamycin can be used over the acne lesions twice daily.
