What Is The Remedy For Low Fever, Cough And Runny Nose?

My 6 yr old has been running a low grade fever for the past 3 days. She also has cough and runny nose. Fever is present in the morning and evening and lowers with pedicare cold. At what point should I take her to the doctor? Am wondering if she should continue to stay home?

Hi,
Thanks and welcome to healthcare magic.
Your history suggests that he may be suffering from cold.
Usually it takes one week to clear.
Paracetamol 15 mg/kg/dose to relieve fever and a antihistamine like cetirizine daily to relieve cold symptoms.
Steam inhalation gives better relief.
I do not think you need to see the doctor for simple cold.
Hope this reply is OK for you.
PLease feel free to ask further queries if any.
