What Is The Remedy For Itchy Heels?

I have had very itchy heels for a few days now. It s only on the heels on my feet, and there s red splotches and they looks a little bruised. The only thing I could think of is when I had to wear my boots for a few minutes while I ran to the store without socks on.

Hi there.
Thanks for writing in to HCM.
It would be great if you could upload a clear digital image of your problem on this site. Do contact the site administrator if facing any difficulties.
I think you have hit the nail on its head & your observation is 'spot-on'!
It does appear that those few minutes of 'direct contact' with the material of your boots..leather/Rexene/gums attaching the parts woiuld have made a difference & caused the 'contact dermatitis'.
Please do apply a cream with betamethasone or hydrocortisone butyrate twice/daily..it should clear in 48 hrs or so. An oral antihistamine like fexofenadine180mg taken once a day may be useful in addition.
Please avoid contact with such materials & 2 weeks after the rash & medications have been stopped, you may do a patch testing on your skin at a recognized laboratory to isolate the allergens.
Good Luck & Godspeed!
