What Is The Remedy For Gout In My Foot?
I have recently been diagnose with Gout in my right foot. Swelling and tenderness in entire foot for 4 weeks. Uric acid level test came back at 9.1. I know the range is 4-8. How HIGH is this number? What medication would you recommend to lower the level?

Hello
Your uric acid level is high ( moderate degree) .
Due to high level of uric acid there develop of crystals in joints ( as may be in your case).
When such patients come in my clinic I usually prescribe them allopurinol 2-2-2 for few months .
I also advise them to take ascorbic acid ( plenty of available in lemon ) for few days.
Aceclofenac is also to be taken for 2-4 weeks .
