What Is The Remedy For Flu Like Symptoms?

My boyfriend has been sick with flu like symptoms for the past 4 days. He was finally able to keep food down starting Sunday. But he's still completely exhausted and tonight when he went to the bathroom he said that it was extremely painful and that he peed stringy stuff that looked like spaghetti. He said he feels better and he has more energy after urinating. Do you know what it is?

Flu like symptom makes aperson very week since the viral infection. There is chance of viral gastro entritis. This is self limiting. Should take lot of liquid to mantain hydration. He can take vit c 500mg daily. Slowly hewill be normal. Hecan get his stool examined.
