What Is The Remedy For Dry Scales Throughout The Scalp?

I used to think I had dandruff, but I am starting to think it may be something like scalp psoriasis. My scalp has dry scales throughout the scalp, that stop at the hair line, except for a small area around my eye, where it seems dry and irritated. My scalp is also very flaky. I don't know what to do, and how to end this problem.

Hi,

Right, you seem to have scalp psoriasis. It is a chronic, relapsing and recalcitrant skin disease. Avoid scratching the scalp. Apply steroid with salicylic acid lotion at night. Do shampoo daily with tar and ketoconazole containing shampoo. Take antihistaminics like levocetirizine at night. Methotraxate 15 mg weekly, 5 mg 12 hrly. for long time even after you have good result. Stress and anxiety should be avoided as they are exacerbating factors. I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
