What Is The Remedy For Bloated Face And Stomach Due To Intake Of Cortizone For COPD And Cardio Myopathy?

I am taking 10mg of cortizone daily for C.O.P.D. and cardio myoperthy.
I am so blown up in the face and stomach it is very uncomfortable and ugly, I don't look like myself.
Do you think ceasing this medication would make any difference to my breathing and general health..

Hi,
I appreciate your concern. Tab. Cortizone is a steroid which can lead to fascial puffiness and flushing . In case your symptoms are controlled ,you can try tapering off your steroid . Initially try reducing your dose to 5 mg daily .In case you are fine we can tapper it off further .
