What Is The Remedy For Bleeding Ulcers?

I need a pain managment DR to give hydrocodone for knee pain and other arthritis pain I have history of bleeding ulsers I Tcan`t take aspirin and NSAIDS I live in Connersville,IN What do you recommend my email is YYYY@YYYY Thank you I need no farther than greenfield,IN

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Hydrocodone is not an NSAID and does not cause peptic ulcers or other stomach issues. So it can be taken even with peptic ulcers. The other thing is that pain is a kind of stress for human body. In some cases it can increase stomach acid secretion.
That is why It is advisable to take some PPIs (like Omeprasole) especially if you have any symptoms pointing to peptic ulcer.
