What Is The Recovery Period Post Circumcision?

My son was circumcised yesterday. He is 11. Surgery all good. He is sore but healing well and bandage off. When can he return to school. Advise varies from 2 days to 2 weeks! Also when can he swim? We plan to keep him from most activities for 2 weeks Thank you

Hello dear
I understand your concern
Circumcision will completely heal in the 2 weeks.
He can return to the school after 5-7 days.
But completely healing will occur in 2 weeks.
So he can swim after 2 week of the operation.
Go for follow up at 7th day to know the progress of the healing and to rule out the infection.
Give him healthy diet, lots of water, maintain proper pelvic hygiene.
Follow advice of your doctor

Hi. Good to see your concerns about the health of your kid. So far as your question is concerned , it depends upon how much time does it take to heal the wound. Penis is a richly supplied with blood and keeping in view this points it can be assumed that he will be able to resume routine activities with in a week but it all depends upon the condition of the wound. If wound healing is satisfactory on gross inspection after a week he can resume his routine life. Wishing you and your family the best of health.
