What Is The Reason For Recurring, Painful Lumps In Armpit?

Hi Iam 33 year old female and last month I found a painful small lump that was the size of a peanut on my right armpit. I had a scan which nothing was found and was given antibiotics.... now 4 weeks after I have found another lump that feels excactly the same and in the same place. What could this be? THANK YOU

Hello and welcome to HCM,

I read your query and understood your concern. It sounds like a cyst and unresolved infection.

Consult your physician for pus culture sensitivity test for prescription of antibiotic accordingly or an incision and drainage of the cyst.

Complete the antibiotic course fully. Dont scratch or touch the area repeatedly. Apply warm water soaks 4-5 times a day.
