What Is The Reason For Having Low Long Term Memory?

So I m 18 years old, and have always had (for as long as I can remember) having terrible long-term memory. I was wondering if there was a specific reason for this? Because I always thought it was from all the head injuries I ve had throughout my life. Because I have hit my head pretty hard on many different occasions. But a lot of the injuries I ve had have been on the back of my head, (if that makes a difference?) Thanks :)

Hello,

First of all head injuries which occur anywhere on the head are to evaluated with brain imaging like CT scan or MRI. if its done and is normal then there is nothing to worry , it should not be the reason for memory related problems.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. MOHAMMED ASHRAF
