Hi, I had my third c section on October 16th, bled heavily, as I had after my other two births, then it stopped. My period started on xmas eve and has continued ever since, and I m still bleeding, all different days, heavy, then it almost stopped, then clots, different colours, I had a scan done before Xmas due to my uterus being very high at my six week check, this scan was clear, They had suspected retained products but this was since ruled out. My doctor put me on primolut and two antibiotics for two weeks, but the bleeding continues, They have now decided it s hormonal and put me back on primolut for the next 3 months, on a one a day dosage. Even though I asked why I m none the wiser what is happening to me or why, I ve never heard of someone bleeding this long, and I m exhausted and my bones hurt. Please can someone explain or offer an explanation as to why.
