What Is The Reason For Blood From The Nose When Blown?

The last few days when i blow my nose a couple of tiny blood spots, the size of a pin head come on my tissue, it has only happened once a day,usually at night, but as i said they are so tiny and usually only one or two, always from my left nostril. Should i be worried.

Hi,thank you for posting your query on health care magic.
Looking at your symptoms,you might be suffering from congestion in the nose.In such a case,when you blow forcefully,it may lead to tear of tiny blood vessels in the nasal cavity leading to scanty bleeding.

You may find relief by taking Nasal decongestant drops like Xylometazoline(use only if you are not suffering from hypertension) and Saline nasal spray(it will provide moisture inside nose).
Also use Vitamin C lozenges-it will help in the strength of blood vessels.

Don't blow or cough forcefully.

After following the above measures,if still you are suffering from Nasal bleedingthen it would be advisable to consult an Otolaryngologist doctor.Nasal endoscopy might be needed to find out the cause and treat accordingly.
