What Is The Purpose Of Betnesol During Pregnancy?

Hello doctor, im 31 weeks pregnant, 2 days ago I had my scanning, in that AFI is 7.5cms and liquor level is slightly less. Baby weight is 1587gms. My doctor advised me to take betnesol injection. Is it safe? What is the reason to take betnesol? Im a diabetes patient. Please clarify my doubt.
