What Is The Prognosis For Metastasized Liver Cancer?
i have a metastasized liver cancer now which was diagnosed last sept. my primary cancer is breast which was diagnosed last 2004. my treatment is complete but still it was metastasized.at present my treatment is zeloda 6caps/day for 14 days & rest for 7 days. then repeat. my question is, how long will i live because my doctor will say nothing everytime time i asked him. i want to know so that i can be ready anytime. anyway i already accept all what will happen.
Sorry to hear about your cancer of the breast which has spread to the liver. It is possible that if there is a small liver metastasis then there are good chances of extended survival for you. Since it is stage 4 cancer and your general condition is good therefore a survival of 2 to 5 years is expected with good treatment and care.
I understand it is difficult for your doctor to discuss about your survival and they are doing their best to fight the battle against cancer. Please maintain a healthy nutrition and discuss any pain relief measures that might make you comfortable. There are patients who might out live expectations and I hope you have a long survival with regular treatment and follow up. Your doctor is providing the right treatment. Please do not worry.
