What Is The Permanent Solution For Rib Pain?

Four months ago I fell hurting my ribs - left back. I m still feeling some soreness (comes and goes) and the feeling that something is not right under the rib cage. When I lay down and stretch it out it feels better. I have considered going to have some ex rays or is this just a part of the healing process?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
This is quite common occurrence with rib fracture as they take long time in healing and some time it can be painful for 6 months. I would recommend you follwoing things for pain relief though coughing and sneezing will always be painful.
1. Apply hot water and Diclofenac ointment
2. Take Brufen and Ultracet tablet for pain relief
3. Avoid lying down on affected side
