What Is The Meaning Of Subchorionic Bleed In Sonography?

This is my OBSETRIC SONOGRAPHY REPORT

My L.M.P : 28.10.2013
Gest age by L.M.P : 5Wks 2d

Study reveals a single intra uterine gestational sac with no obvious foetal pole.
Subchorionic bleed about 12mm seen

Note that I use Duphaston 10 mg twice a day

Whats mean of bleed Subchorionic and what the causes ?
Its mean that it's abortion ?

Please Dr answer my question I'm confused.

I am so sorry to hear about this finding on ultrasound. A subchorionic bleed represents blood leakage at the point where the baby is linked to the mother. This may interfere with the baby's nutrition and compromise adequate development. For now, I cannot for sure say it is an abortion but the difficulty finding a fetal pole raises some much concerns. I hope your doctor ordered for a follow up scan in the weeks ahead to further assess this.

My advice is that you remain calm, relaxed and optimistic. Whatever the end result, we shall stand by you every single step along the way.
