What Is The Meaning Of No Cyst Parasite But Bacteria Present In Fecalysis?

hi, my son has undergone a fecalysis with pus cells of 0-1/hpf with remarks of No OVA/Cyst parasite found but with many bacteria. Physical properties as to color is yellowish brown and Consistency of Mucoid. What does his laboratry results indicates? thanks a lot.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The interpretation of the stool examination is as follows:
The physical attributes - color and consistency are within normal limits.
Absence of ova or cyst rules out infection with any particular parasite.
Presence of bacteria and pus cells indicates presence of bacterial infection.
You need to consult your doctor with reports for prescription of antibiotics for the infection.
