What Is The Life Expectancy Of A Person Under Oxygen Support Due To COPD?

my father has been suffering from COPD and was admitted to hospital for 14 days and then taken back home and is under oxygen care. For more than 25 minutes he cannot stay without oxygen support although food consumption is okay and is speaking. Mostly he is in bed and 76 years old. Is it the last stage?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
no it is not the last stage ,wecan just predict now he is oxygen depedent intermittently .requirement of oxygen does not indicate the number of days patient is going to live .it just shows the weakness of respiratry system and severity of disease .
