What Is The Large Lump On The Right Side Of The Ribs?
i have a lump on my back, on the right side around the rib cage area slightly larger than an egg,its not causing any discomfort but i am slightly concerned,i had an enlarged liver and splien 10yrs ago for what reason no one seemed to know, they removed my splien but no results showed what the cause was.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history of enlarged spleen and liver in the past and a non-tender lump of the size of an egg on the right side around the rib cage area. The most probable cause of such a lump is either a sebaceous cyst or lipoma unless proved otherwise. I would advise you the following in such a case. Consult a General Surgeon to get clinical evaluation, examination and get a clinical diagnosis. The diagnosis of such lumps is clinical and if it is either o the things I mentioned simply get it removed fro two reasons. 1. Get get the disease out of the body for ever and 2. you get a confirmed diagnosis by histo-pathology examination.
If there is speciousness of some other problem then only you may need further evaluation by FNAC, CT scan and so on.
