What Is The Impact Of Pseudoephedrine, Phenylephrine And Naproxen On BP?
What is the impact of pseudoephedrine, phenylephrine and naproxine on blood pressure? I use either of the first two as antihistamines and the latter for joint pain. I also have a high blood pressure problem which seems to have been impacted by taking the two at the same time on a regular basis. Thanks, Richard

Nasal decongestants like pseudoephedrine and phenylephrine are causing blood pressure to get increased.
The anti-inflammatory medication called naproxen has the same effect on blood pressure.
I usually prescribe other alternatives that won't cause the blood pressure to increase. In cases where it is necessary to use such medications, I usually advise my patients who are having high blood pressure problems as you to monitor blood pressure.
