What Is The Ideal Pulse Rate For Elderly Men?

what is the normal pulse rate for a 78 year old man with a fib not on an anti coagulant yet ...had a stent in 2005 was on vioxx at the time....the a-fib is a recent occurance (1 month)...my current pulse is 120-130 at rest. i stay active 30 min. on a treadmill at a rapid pace with no loss of breath or weakness...had a very recent atomic stress test and echo cardiogram with which raised no alarms with my dr.....i m lean/fit and active...

nothing like ideal pulse rate. take ecg and consult cardiologist. might be your tachycardia is physiological need not worry when all test are normal
