What Is The Difference Between Progyluton And Cyclo-progynova Tablets?

My 16 year old daughter s period has stopped ,she is an athlete , all tests and ultra sound are ok , the doctor prescribed progyluton but the pharmacist gave me cycle- progynova because she didn t have the first one at the time , are they the same ? I m in another country now and I m hesitant to give her this one because I read it s for menopause , so I would like to know if as the pharmacist said they are the same medicine ? Thank you

I understand your concern.
Progyluton is composed of a calendar-pack containing 11 tablets of 2 mg estradiol valerate each, plus 10 tablets of 2 mg estradiol valerate and 0.5 mg norgestrel each.
Cyclo-Progynova contains a calendar-pack with 11 White Tablets of 2mg estradiol valerate and 10 Pale Brown Tablets of 500 micrograms norgestrel + 2mg estradiol valerate.
You can use either of the two as the composition remains the same, except for the change in brands.
Recommended mode of its intake is: One tablet to be taken orally once a day for 21 days (11 + 10), followed by a 7 day tablet free interval. It is recommended that the tablets are taken at the same time every day.
Kindly take the medication as advised by your doctor.
