Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Ibugesic is just ibuprofen and Ibugesic plus is ibuprofen plus paracetamol. Meftal is mefenamic acid and with a plus is with additional paracetamol. For viral fevers it is better to go with paracetamol which is safer. For 12kg I usually give 6ml of 125mg/5ml. Ibuprofen and mefenamic acid is usually not advised in viral fever because it can increase the the complications like thrombocytopenia which is present in many types of viral fevers . It should be given only under advice of pediatrician or your GP. Hope this may help you.
Let me know if you have any further queries.
