What Is The Difference Between A Sentinel And Hemorrhoid Piles?

Hi Doc, I was diagnosed with a sentinel pile a couple of months back. After completing a full course of medicine, it had gotten cured. But, it seems to be relapsing now. I am afraid if that is a form the normal piles that people generally have. Could you please tell me what is the difference between a sentinel and hemorrhoid piles?

Respected User, hi I evaluated your query thoroughly.
*I would love to clearly make you doubtless.
@SENTINEL TAG / PILE : It`s external skin tag
- you can see on your own no consultant is required to diagnose it.
- usually asymptomatic except occasional pain.
- bleeding only if there is associated fissure(skin laceration) or sever
constipation.
- not curable by any medicines.
- not requiring treatment if not troublesome, surgery if more discomfort.
@ INTERNAL HEMORRHOIDS :
- lies inside your anal canal.
- it`s diagnosis of Consultant Surgeon done by Proctoscopic examination.
- 1st degree : usually asymptomatic, occasional pain / discomfort only.
- 2nd degree : symptoms on & off as bleeding , discomfort after
evacuations , constipation induced aggravation of pain, burning etc.
- 3rd degree : last stage where all internal hemorrhoids are prolapsed
outside at anal opening, highly problamatic even difficulty to sit also.
- 1st degree doesn`t require any intervention ,
- 2nd degree can be under control with conservative treatment for times
surgery for lifetime solution.
- 3rd degree requires only surgery no role of conservative treatment.
Hope this clears your query.
