Dear Friend
Welcome to Health care magic. I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I will shortly try to help you with my opinion.

For treatment of psoriasis , oral and topical medications are available.

if a patient doe not respond to topican or area of involvement is extensive, oral drugs are started.

The most commonly used drug is methotrexate after ruling out the contraindications and carrying out blood investigations.

Besides this, many other drugs like cyclosporine, biologicals can be used under supervision.

Oral or injectable steroids are not at all advisable for treatment of psoriasis.

Based on the available details, this is my best advice for you. You should discuss with your doctor and share my opinion , I am sure he/she will agree to my opinion. If you wish to discuss the problem further with me , you may ask through section of PREMIUM query , directed on my name.
Stay Healthy.
