What Is The Cure For Headache In The Left Side Of My Head?

I really need help i have been suffering from a headache that i have never had before for a week now it started in my temple on the left side of my head and about 2 days ago it spread to my jaw. i have been noticing more symptoms as the days go by i have been experiencing nausea but not like nausea when you have a virus its different like my gag reflex is over acting also. i'm also noticing more symptoms that are progressing like overall week feeling even though there is no difference in my strength. i'm also feeling increased dizziness. some mornings the headache starts out small and progressively gets worse, but on other mornings i wake up with it in full severity. the pain in my jaw is not my teeth also its my jaw bone i have had toothaches before and there a completely different kind of pain the jaw pain radiates. i was taking alot aspirin for the first couple of days and it was helping but not easing the headache all the way but i started to slow down because the aspirin was not working. now im not taking any aspirin because it no longer helps at all it is just makeing my stomach hurt. im getting very depressed about this issue because its makeing me irritable all of the time because i cannot carry out things that im doing. I have never had a headache like this before and i have also never had a headache that lasted for more than a couple of hours i don't know what to do.

Hi, welcome to our site. I am Dr Saumya Mittal.

Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem. I will try my best to answer your query

Sudden onset headache is something that needs to be evaluated seriously for some possible bad diagnosis. therefore an mri of the brain should be done as soon as possible. this is more important because your symptoms are increasing

An mri is important to rule out the possibility of intracranial lesions like cranial mass, increased pressure in the head, infections etc

therefore a mri should be done first. if that is ok, then we can think about and evaluate the possibility of more benign conditions like migraine, sinusitis, refractory errors etc

I hope this helps you. Inform the reports mentioned above so i can be of help further. Best of luck.

I have given you the answer to the maximum considering the information provided. The results of the tests could further enhance my answer to you.

Please do understand that some details could be extracted from a detailed history and examination.

Looking forward to your return query with the details asked so that I can help you further.
