What Is The Cause Of Tingling Sensation And Twitching In Leg?

I have an indentation on my lower right leg beneath the calf muschle area and it only extends on the anterior of my leg toward the back with some discoloration (like a sock line) I have had blood work- normal, and stress test with Echogram- normal. I feel a tingling sensation and some twitching but able to walk normally. My other leg is beginning to do the same. My doctor says it is compressed from like wearing socks, however I do not wear them often nor feel discomfort when I do. what could this be? I have noticed this in the past 30 days

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear,

Given the medical history that your blood work, stress test and Echo are within normal limits, any Cardiovascular cause for your symptoms can be ruled out.
Under such circumstances, the symptoms as mentioned in your post can be attributed to:

1. Para spinal muscle spasm & compression of nerve fibers due to maintenance of incorrect posture.
2. Entrapment of nerve fibers at the Lumbosacral spine or lower limbs.
3. Dietary deficiencies of certain nutrients like Iron, Calcium, Vitamin D, Vitamin B 12, Folic acid, etc. which help in blood formation & nerve conduction.

Symptomatic relief can be obtained by intake of nervigenic agents (like Vitamin B6, Vitamin B 12, Folic acid) as well as multivitamin & multimineral supplements including iron, calcium & Vitamin D needs to be added in your diet.
Physiotherapy & postural exercise will also be helpful.

If symptoms still persist, kindly consult a Neurologist & get a complete Neurological examination done.
Certain investigations like nerve conduction studies will be helpful to rule out any pathological cause for the symptoms.

Wishing you a Good Health.
Take care.
