What Is The Cause Of Stinging And Burning Pain Near The Nipple ?

I am a 55 year old male in very good health. One day ago for no reason, I felt a stinging, burning pain (thought it was an insect sting) to the right of my nippel about half way to my arm pit. It isn t constant, but happens with certain movements. There is no swelling and no lump. What could this be?

Hi there.

Thanks for the query.

Have you experienced this pain before ?

Are there any reddish lesions like small pimples on the skin where you experience burning pain ?

Any trauma sustained ?

Any heart problems, shortness of breath, giddiness ?

It is possible that if you have had recurrent burning pain on one side of your body it could be Herpes infection, especially if red pimples on that area. You will need to show to a Dermatologist and get necessary treatment if the case.

If chest pain radiating to left arm it is possible it could be heart disorder. It needs an urgent investigation by your Doctor.

Consume a balanced diet. Do regular exercise. Keep well hydrated. Get a thorough checkup to rule out heart disorder.
