What Is The Cause Of Smell In Nose And Waxy Mouth?

For the past several weeks I have had a weird smell in my nose. Like stale cigarettes or something. In the past couple of days the roof of my mouth feels somewhat waxy. The only medicines I am on is Lexapro for apprx. 7 years. I quit smoking 10 months ago. Any answers.

Hello thanks for consulting at hcm..the stale smell could be from blocked sinuses and phegm collected as post nasal drip..waxy mouth could be due to pseudomembrane formation in the palate..caused by bacterial or fungal infection.. So kindly get a check up by a ent or oral physician..drink warm water..do saline gargle thrice daily..hope it helps..take care..
