What Is The Cause Of Severe Headache While Having Hypothyroidism?

I have a very intense headache all day as of about 1 week. Have a persistent cough which is worse by the day, as of 6 months. My head hurts intensely each time I cough. What do you think is wrong? Diagnosed as hypothyroid a couple of weeks back. Heart rate is low, and pressure , controlled with medication, is higher than usual.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

There are different main causes of chronic cough. They are : (1)post nasal drip- this is one of the most common causes, in some cases the persons are unaware of the drip

(2) gastroesophageal reflux disease

(3)asthma

Your doctor may consider the use of a topical nasal spray or reflux medication if he thinks one of these may be causing the cough.
Persistent coughing would contribute to your headache.

Other less common but more serious causes would be COPD, lung cancer.

I hope this helps
