What Is The Cause Of Pus Oozing From Vagina Of An Elderly Female?
hi Doc..i just wanna ask with regards to the condition of my 74 year old grandmother..there is a presence of pus in her vagina..she was diagnosed with UTI before and now due to inability to move, she has a stage 4 bedsore..just wondering, what may be the cause of the pus that coming out in her vagina?..what are your recommendations and the medications to be given for her?..

UTI can explain pus coming out of vagina . Other possibilities is UTI spreading to the genital region and causing genital infection.
I advise you to get Culture sensitivity test of Urine and Pus and once the report comes use Antibiotics ( Preferably Intravenous ) as per the culture reports . The antibiotics has to be used for at least 7- 10 days.
In view of her overall condition to advise an admission to hospital .
