What Is The Cause Of Leg Ache At Night?

I'm a 67 year old man and a side sleeper. The last few months my left leg aches at night - if I lay on my right side it aches noticeably, if I lay on my left side it really aches. But, the pain subsides when I lay on my back and when I get up I have no problems. Any ideas?

Hello

Thanks for the query

The pain in the left leg is most likely to be osteoarthritis of the hip joint. Please visit your orthopedician soon to get an x ray of the hip joint anterior posterior and lateral view for confirmation of the diagnosis.
You will need to rest that leg and also be on painkillers

I hope I was of help

Regards
