Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I'm a 67 year old man and a side sleeper. The last few months my left leg aches at night - if I lay on my right side it aches noticeably, if I lay on my left side it really aches. But, the pain subsides when I lay on my back and when I get up I have no problems. Any ideas?
The pain in the left leg is most likely to be osteoarthritis of the hip joint. Please visit your orthopedician soon to get an x ray of the hip joint anterior posterior and lateral view for confirmation of the diagnosis. You will need to rest that leg and also be on painkillers
I hope I was of help
Regards
