What Is The Cause Of Fast Heart Beat And Sweating?

Hi, I have this issue where every single night I wake up between 1:45 and 2 am. I did not have a nightmare, but my whole body is hot and I am sweating. My heart is pounding out of my chest! I am wide awake till 5ish. I have been told this could be my adrenals firing off at the wrong times. It does feel like a fight or flight response literally. I am 36 yo female. No other Heath problems and at a good weight. Any ideas?

After going through your medical details, I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that considering your young age, this problem could be due to gastritis or heavy spicy food in the night. However, a basic cardiac evaluation is required to exclude any heart event.

Consult a cardiologist and get evaluated. You have to undergo detailed evaluation to rule out structural heart disease and rhythm anomalies as they can cause similar clinical picture.
