What Is The Cause Of Bumps Under The Skin?

My 11 month old has little bumps under the skin at the nape of her neck- three bumps on one side and two on the other. She is constantly grabbing at the site of the bumps and rubs or scratches. Visually one sees nothing but with touch you feel the bumps.
What could this be?

Hi,
From history it seems that she might be having enlarged lymph nodes on that area.
There might be having some infection in near by area like ears, scalp etc.
Consult your doctor and get examined.
Ok and take care.
