What Is The Cause Of A Watery Stool?

My six month old has had very watery stool for over a week now. He breastfed and eating no solids. He started eating solids as five month for two weeks, but then showed no interested and I haven't been able to get him to eat any solids since. He is never fussy.

Hi, thank you for posting.

Diarrhea is caused by different factors. One of these is viral and microbial infection.
Diarrhea causes dehydration. Children are very sensitive to dehydration. So before the pediatrician finds the cause I recommend Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS) to prevent dehydration.

You should take your child to his pediatrician for a physical examination.
I also recommend a stool culture.
