What Is The Cause For Left Side Chest Pain That Radiates To The Back ?
hello..this is about my father. he is 54 years old. he is having so much pain on left side below his heart .that pain radiates in straight line from below heart to till back.he also coughs.he don t feel like eating .he is diabetic.he is having shortness of breath . we checked him up with many doctors but no one could cure him.its been 4 months now. we took his x-rays and ct-scans too but it shows nothing.can anyone please explain what could be reason and what should we do about it?thank you.

Hi,thanks for query.I hope along with the above mentioned tests e.c.g. is also done.If not please get in done.If the reports for heart problem are also normal that only one can think of other causes.Some times the outer layer covering lungs known as pleura give rise to pain due to some reason .But first of all get all the investigations related to heart.bye.

some time v canot find out the cause,it happens!plz do a TB ig M test(to r/o tb)this is more f/o pleuritic type rather than cardiac any way do an echo also.if he smokes stop smoking.all the best

thank you Dr. Reji for your comment..we did that TB test already but doc said its not TB.and we did 2d echo test too that test was also normal. my father don't smoke or drink and there is no mark on his skin where it pain.
