What Is The Cause And Treatment For Vertigo?

M having vertigo for the past 6 yrs . Evry dctr told me that there is no such reason behind it . Few days back I had a severe vertigo session which lasted for quite some time . The intensity was never that severe .More than vertigo it is better to say that I experience a kind of imbalance or instability . Need ur suggestions on this .

Got your question. I can understand your anxiety. As doctors told you there will not be any major reason behind your vertigo if your neurological examination is normal. Most of the times it is due to inner ear problems which does not have any specific treatment. Pl. consult a physiotherapist and do proper neck exercise. During vertigo attacks you can take tab. vertin 8mg or 16 mg depending on the severity of the problem. On safer side consult a neurophysician and get neurological exam done.
