What Is The Cause And Treatment For Lower Back Pain?

Hello, I am researching lower back pain on the internet and am left answering several pertinent questions. The one-sided lower back pain began a few weeks ago and recurs every day late in the afternoon. It is a burning type pain, left of spine, and hurts all the way around the hip. I have had hip surgery, with a partial replacement on both hips, both due to a fall. I also have several bulging discs on both the upper and lower spine. I recently took another tumble and the pain has become worse every day, later in the day. Can you offer any advice or shall I see a Dr.? Another recurring symptom is I am coughing up clear phlegm almost daily, and it is had to swallow. Might these two be connected? Thanks for your assistance. Susan Meyer YYYY@YYYY

Hi,

Coughing to clear phlegm and lower back ache does not seem to be interconnected. The phlegm is symptom of some irritation in respiratory tract in the form of allergy or infection. You can try anti allergic cough syrup over the counter with hot water once or twice a day, do some gargles. Infection needs additional antibiotic specific to cause. Please consult your doctor for it.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
