What Is The Cause And Treatment For High Blood Pressure?
Hello. I am currently taking ditiazem 150mg and Losartan 25mg. I take the diltiazem in the morning around 8 o clock. What was happening was my blood pressure would drop mid day to normal ranges but it would spike up after 6pm in the evening. My doctor prescribed Losartan to take after 6pm to bring me back down until the next morning. It doesn t seem to be working. My blood pressure is still in the 160/105 range at night. The losartan also seems to give me mild anxiety. Are there any prescription drugs out there that I should ask my doctor about? Also, I have no idea what is causing my high blood pressure. I am 37, 5 8, and 170 lbs. are there any tests that I should ask about to try and figure out where the problem is stemming from?

your blood pressure is in uncontrolled levels even with the two antihypertensives.
you can ask your doctor to increase the dose of losartan to 50mgs added with antianxiety drugs like alprazolam in lower doses to reduce youir anxiety.
or else some diuretic combination will also help you drastically to control the bp.
please do not stress yourself
change in lifestyle also helps in controlling the bp.
