What Is The Burning Sensation When I Kneel Down?

I am 60 yrs old and to my knowledge never had a knee injury. Just out of the blue, I now have a burning sensation ( like a severe brush burn) when I kneel on my left knee. I have no discomfort at any other time with this knee. Any suggestions on why this could be happening? Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that there might be having degenerative changes in your left knee due to osteoartheritis.
Go for x-ray knee joint.
Consult orthopedic suregeon and get examined.
Do patellar exercise daily.
Avoid more bending from joint.
Avoid squatting position.
Ok and take care.
