Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a brown residue in my underwear. I recently went to the doctor but they returned with all negative results to test. The smell of the residue is fishy but my underwear don't smell fishy. I've searched and searced for solutions but nothing. Can you help me?
Thank you for asking! Fishy smell with brown residue makes it most like a genitourinary infection with vaginitis most likely followed by cervicitis. Fishy discharge is most like in bacterial vaginosis. SOme metronidazole with topical hygiene therapy and clotrimazole with coital and toilet habits modification would suffice.get to a gynecologist if the problem persisted. take care
