What Is Swollen Red Dot With Flesh That Looks Like It Is Dying?
my girlfriends daughter 2 years is at the er tonight. she got a black dot on her little toe yesterday. today it is swollen twice its size, red and the flesh looks like it is dying. she has had strep issues not to long ago. i want to help her find some answers, this seems to be moving fast.

Dear Sir
Going by the description it appears to be gangrene which is speading. Possibility of either embolic occlusion ( emboli from heart) or Hyper coagulation state is to be ruled out.
Will require urgent Doppler and 2 D echocardiography examination along with coagulation profile.
