Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi .. I had undergone urine test for immigration medical .. all the rest came normal other that urine test in which RBC is 38 per HPF and many WBC .. I have PCOS and experience irregular periods .. earlier the periods ended for three weeks followed by spotting ..
Urine test with RBCs of 38/HPF and many WBCs indicates the possibility of presence of urinary tract infection.
If you have any of the urinary symptoms, you may further need urine culture and sensitivity test and take an appropriate course of antibiotics.
For problems of irregular periods due to PCOS, you need to be treated with appropriate medications. You may need oral contraceptives for regularisation of periods and metformin to decrease insulin sensitivity.
Kindly consult Obstetrician for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
