Hi Doctor my name is Ch .Dan.i just got a pahology report about my colon: -1/ On distal descending colon ,01 semi pedunculated polyp size 1.9x1.9x1.5 cm :invasive modeately differentiated adenocarcinoma-involving surgical margin -2/ It consist of malignant,cribriform glands with hyperchromatic nuclei, necrosis-glans extend to the surgical margil. -3/ AE1/AE3 positive CDX2 positive P53 positive Please Sir is it dangerous cancer, curable or noncurable Thank you
It is cancer arising from the colon. It is highly durable and prognosis will be good.
A CECT scan is required to assess the extent of the disease. Surgical removal of the tumor with portion of the large bowel will be the treatment of choice.
Consult a surgical gastroenterologist and he will direct you accordingly.
